Privacy Policy
This page describes what Belderbrandt.nl itself does with cookies and data: which cookies we place and why, and how we handle a message sent through the contact form. For the full, legal privacy policy of Belderbrandt Hypotheek Tilburg B.V., see the privacy statement at the bottom of this page.
Which cookies do we use?
We only place cookies for website statistics after you've given consent via the cookie notice. Before that consent, we place no advertising cookies and load no analytics or advertising scripts. Strictly necessary technical storage may be used to protect the booking form; it is not used for advertising or website statistics. Separately from this, we continuously measure how quickly pages load. That measurement stores nothing on your device; see "Site visits, hosting and speed" below.
Google Analytics (after consent)
If you give consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure how visitors use the site (for example, which pages are visited). Without your consent, this script is not loaded and no statistics are collected. Google collects measurement data from EU visitors on servers in the EU and uses your IP address there only to determine your approximate location; according to Google, the IP address itself is not stored. The statistics are then processed and stored on Google's servers, including outside the EU, among others in the United States.
Booking an appointment (Calendly)
If you book an introductory meeting online via /en/book-appointment, we ask for your name, email address, phone number, meeting type, subject, and preferred date and time. Our server sends these details directly to Calendly to create the appointment. The phone number is stored with the appointment as contact information. Only a recognised Dutch mobile number is also offered for SMS reminders; a landline is accepted without SMS. Calendly remains the calendar where the appointment is stored and handles the invitation and reminders.
We do not load a Calendly widget, and Calendly does not place its own cookies through the booking page. Belderbrandt.nl does not retain a separate copy of the submitted booking form.
If you arrive through a campaign link, an advert or a newsletter for example, the campaign parameters from that link are stored with the appointment at Calendly. This lets us see which channel an appointment came from, even if you declined analytics cookies. It covers only what the link itself contains; we infer nothing about you personally from it.
Calendly stores these appointment details in data centres in the United States; Calendly does not offer storage within the EU.
When you confirm an appointment, the site automatically checks whether the request comes from a real visitor, to prevent abuse of the calendar. Our hosting provider assesses technical browser, page, and request signals for this; your submitted name, email address, and phone number are not used for it. This check is separate from Google Analytics and still works when you decline analytics cookies.
Site visits, hosting and speed
This website is hosted by a specialised hosting provider. The site's server code runs in a data centre in Frankfurt (Germany); to deliver pages quickly, the provider also keeps temporary copies of pages on its servers elsewhere in the world, close to the visitor. All traffic to the site passes through this provider's servers; technical request data, including your IP address, is processed in doing so. Through the same provider we measure how quickly pages load for real visitors. That measurement places no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and contains no submitted form data; it therefore sits outside the cookie notice and works even if you decline analytics cookies. The request logs, the anonymous speed measurements, and the security check when you confirm an appointment are also processed and stored in the United States.
Technical faults and performance measurement
We use a specialised error-monitoring service to find technical faults and to measure how quickly the site works. This is not only about errors: on every page visit, the site sends technical measurements to that service, such as load times and the path of the page you are viewing.
When something goes wrong, for example when creating an appointment fails, an error report is added to that. It also contains technical details about your device and browser, your language setting and time zone, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and a short list of your most recent actions on the site: which buttons or links you clicked, which pages you visited, and which requests the site made.
What we deliberately do not send: no name, email address, phone number, subject, or preferred date, and no content of forms, requests, or responses. From the web address we keep only the path, without anything that follows it. We make no visual recordings of your screen or of your visit.
This service stores your visit data in the European Union (Germany) and places no cookies on your device; only the administrative data of our own account with this service is held in the United States. This measurement therefore sits outside the cookie notice and works even if you decline analytics cookies.
Contact form
If you fill in the contact form, your message is forwarded to Martin Vrieling through an email delivery service. That service sends the email from the European Union (Ireland), but keeps a copy of the email and its delivery data in the United States for 30 days, and uses your data solely to deliver that email. The mailbox in which your message arrives is located in the European Union.
Our suppliers and transfers outside the EU
The services above for hosting, speed measurement, booking-form protection, error monitoring, and email delivery are processors: they act solely on our instructions and do not use your data for their own purposes. Wherever we can, we keep your data in the European Union: the site's server code runs in Frankfurt, error reports are stored in Germany, and email is sent from Ireland. Google, Calendly, and our processors are US companies; for the data they process or store in the United States, all of them are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, the European Commission's adequacy decision. On request, we will send you an up-to-date list of our processors.
Changing your cookie preferences
You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie preferences" at the bottom of every page.
